“Dancing with Seagulls” – Lea Goldman Art & Social Justice In its 29th Year, the annual Art & Social Justice Exhibition has been a significant and anticipated Colfax Campus Event. The theme, a socially just world, is captured by all artwork displayed for this Exhibit. “Art and Social Justice” was the title of a joint exhibition of work by local artists Jake Webster and Douglas Kinsey and the theme is particularly reflective of South Bend Heritage’s mission. It calls artists from 4 states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Works on display include those from: David Allen, Michael Amato, Nathan Anderson, Scot Anderson, Francisco Avila, Keri Bash, Lea Bult, Katharine Elliott, Lea Goldman, Michael Hebbler, Jose Felipe Herré, Tod Hoover, Jack Kapsa, Niktaria Mattheos, Patty Reddy, Ramiro Rodriquez, Laurie Rousseau, William Tourtillotte and Rob Wise. In its twenty-fifth year, the annual Art and Social Justice has become a significant and anticipated Colfax Campus Gallery event. Reception: Friday, July 15, 7-9 with discussion at 8 on the topic “The Time is Always Now” led by Chicago artists Mary King. The Exhibit will be open from July 8th – August 12th.
