The Jeff Gibney Mission Fund (JGMF) has been established to honor his vision for community building. He was at times a maverick and out of the box in his views. This approach to neighborhood revitalization brought to South Bend a number of long lasting improvements and a unique reputation for South Bend Heritage. The JGMF will support the types of special projects/activities that Jeff would identify as important for the good of the community and the organization that puts them into action.

With the support of his family, the fund will be managed by South Bend Heritage staff and the projects will be approved by its Board of Directors. Preference will be given to unique and difficult to fund housing, arts and educational partnership projects that benefit low to moderate income individuals and families.

Partnership Project Examples:

Sister Maura Brannick Health Clinic

Charles Martin Youth Center

Queen Anne Inn & Frederickson House Historic Moves

Chapin St. Market

F. Jay Nimtz Exemplary Volunteer Public Service Celebration

National Council for Education Black Children Augustus F. Hawkins Literacy Center

Colfax Gallery: Art & Social Justice Exhibit
